Packaging protects the product, communicates information and affects storage and delivery. It should be discussed early in a private-label project, not after the product is finalised.
Confirm the Pack Format
- Number of waffles per pack
- Individual or grouped wrapping
- Business-use or retail format
- Frozen storage needs
- Outer carton quantity
Plan the Customer Information
Product naming, ingredients, allergen information, storage, preparation and other required details must be accurate and based on the confirmed product. Businesses should obtain appropriate professional or regulatory guidance for their market.
Prepare Artwork Properly
Confirm the required file format, dimensions, colour setup and approval process with the packaging or manufacturing partner. Keep important text readable.
Test the Complete Pack
Review the physical sample, not only a screen design. Check handling, freezer fit, opening, label readability and outer-carton protection.
Agree on Responsibilities
Record who supplies artwork, approves information, purchases packaging, holds unused materials and manages future artwork changes.
Private-label requirements vary by project. Learn about Waffle5’s business background and contact the team through the OEM and supply page for an initial assessment.
