Every successful brand starts with an idea.
For Waffle5, that idea was simple — to introduce authentic Belgian Liege waffles to more Malaysians while creating a product that people could enjoy every day.
When we first discovered Belgian Liege waffles, we realised they were still relatively uncommon in Malaysia. Instead of simply importing a finished product, we wanted to create a Belgian-inspired waffle that respected its traditional roots while better matching local taste preferences.
That journey eventually led to one of our proudest milestones — being featured by Oriental Daily Malaysia, where we had the opportunity to share our story with readers across the country.

Our goal has never been to change what makes a Belgian Liege waffle special.
Instead, we wanted to preserve its signature characteristics while making it more enjoyable for Malaysian consumers.
Traditional Belgian Liege waffles are famous for their buttery aroma, chewy texture and caramelised pearl sugar.
For Waffle5, we carefully reduced the sweetness to better suit local preferences while maintaining the authentic texture that makes Belgian Liege waffles so unique.
We also continue using carefully selected imported ingredients, including Belgian pearl sugar, together with quality butter and flour to ensure every waffle delivers an authentic Belgian-inspired experience.

We have proudly introduced our Belgian Liege waffles to the Embassy of Belgium in Malaysia, where we received valuable feedback and later had the honour of providing catering for one of their Christmas celebrations.
We were also proud to support TEDx Malaysia in both 2024 and 2025, sharing our waffles with speakers, volunteers and attendees while contributing to events that celebrate ideas, creativity and community.
Each experience has strengthened our belief that great food brings people together.
Looking Towards the Future
Although we are proud of how far Waffle5 has come, we believe this is only the beginning.
